My responsibilities are enormous ranging from proper discipline to proper self respect. Thoughts run through my mind if things in this world were different and girls were valued for what they can do and not for how they look. If girls were taught by the Disney channel to value knowledge and not stupidity example London Tipton for Suit Life. Here you have a stupid heiress that gets everything she wants. Hmmmmm remind you of anyone who is famous for no apparent reason. If Six year old girls had a role models that was a scientist and a doctors and not 14 &17 year that take nude pictures of themselves I wonder if thing in this world would be a little differnt. The High School musical and Hannha Montana franchise might star 15 and 20 year olds but trust me no 17 year old is buy a Hannah Montana back pack. Who is you might ask? Your four to eight year old. What is Hannah Montana doing on her show well lets see: worrying about what to wear kissing boys and worring about her make up. So here is what is your four to eight year old is learning: she needs to worry more about boys and what she is wearing and how she looks. Lets see in real life they are: taking nude Photos for Vanity Fair , taking nude photos of themselves, taking photos of them in their bra and posting it on myspace, getting pregnant at sixteen, living with their 20 year old boyfriends. The list goes on and on. I am getting frustrated writing this and having a hard time gathering my thoughts. Pretty much I am pisses that parents do not take responsibility for what their children watch especially at an age when you do have control over what is taught to your child for you. Also they are trying to be best friend first and parents second. Ummm ya cause that always works out to let your teenage do what they want all the time. I am annoyed that the role models choose for my daughter and my nieces are stupid, vain, and only thinks about boys. That is only their T.V. persona I am sure that Hannah Montana and the other people I can not remember their real names any who I am positive that they are not playing spin the bottle in their spare time. If you think it is boggle wrong again. Even more outrageous is that their parents that are so desperate to keep the money coming in by their kids that they do anything for them and not in the good way. You are a bad parent if you let your 15 year old date a 20 year old and live with them. Billy has got to keep his little cash cow happy though. I for one would like to have a role model for my daughter that is intrested in the world around her and not only herself. That is going to go to colledge to learn and not to party and get married. That is not preoccupied with boys. A girl that would be much happier to try to help others in this world that need it and not so worried about what car she is going to drive after she is married.
Now before anyone gets there panties in a twist about "its just Disney" and blah blah blah "you are taking it so serious". I say well you are not taking it serious enough on what they media is teaching you children to be like and who they are trying to mimick in this world. I am tired of living in a world where women would are saying "yes" to abolish women suffrage because they are to stupid to have paid attention in history. I bet they all know who is dating Brad Pitt though. I want and end to little Paris Hilton minis running around and start a new trend little Marie Curies. Some one who change this world and for the better. Lets do that teach our daughter to make thing better and not join the American melting pot of priorties that has become: how does my hair look? How does my face look? How do my clothes look? How can I have more than everyone else?

ya ok so maybe now

Well I know i have been the ultimate slacker in the bogging dimension. The simple answer would be that Iwas not feeling as though blogging was a priority in my life. I was pretty sure that the only people that read my blog were my cousin and my sister. Alas, I am feeling an obligation to post something on the old blog. Amourae is now walking very well. Kyla is enjoying summer and her kiddy pool that she fot for her birthday. Also riding her tricycle to the park. Jason will most likly be starting school this coming fall. I am still working losing my baby weight but what can i say i love food. That is pretty much all that is going on right now. It is the Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection. It pretty much is all the best games from the Sega Genesis Series. All of the Sonic games plus others like Golden Axe1,2,3 , Shinobi , Ecco the dolphin, Phantasy Star, Shining in the Darkness, and so many other childhood classics. It just as good as comfort food without the all the calories. So I am excited to go back and play these games. Now that I think about it i never beat any of these games. Not suprising since going by the time line I would have been trying to play all of these games before I turned nine. That is when my big brother left for his mission . I would spend countless hours watching my brother play these games and I thought he was like the coolest guy ever. Heck I still think he is a pretty awesome guy. So if anyone is up for a sweet game of Golden Axe just let me know.

jon and hate plus eight

So i used to love the show Jon and Kate plus eight but i can not stand the wench of a women anymore. She is the biggest beast and so annoying. I can't stand Mady or we can call her mini Kate. Even tough Kate insists she is like Jon.I am really getting sick of how she claims her life it so hard and stressful. Ok she has a live in nanny. They go on vacations that last weeks and they have a live in nanny with them there.Their vacations are all free and thay are all top of the line accomidations. Jon does not have a job so he is home with her. Life must be so tough Kate in between her botox sessions, spa treatments, Bleaching sessions, fake bake sessions and trips to L.A. without the kids.I have no respect for women who put their physical appearance before their children.(that is why i look the way i look) I don't see how hard life can be when you never really taking care of the kids just putting them down and berating them. You buy a mansion and i mean mansion so you don't have to deal with your kids. I understand needing a break i have (What do you call it?) Irish twins. There have been days where i am out of the house as soon as Jason gets home and i go see a movie by myself. Having a live in nanny and a stay at home husband isn't enough for her though. They vacations are not enough of a release and life in a mansion and free stuff left and right. How does that justify how she treats her husband though. She is constantly yelling at him hitting and humiliating him. No one can be happy with that kind of life and he isn't. You see it in the tabloids him being drunk in bars with other women telling them that they will most likely get a divorce. She is just crazy over obsessive about how clean the house is but not really to worried that her children have access the cleaning products. She got rid of her sister in law from the show because producers were going to start paying Jodi for her appearances on the show. No one makes money off my family but us she says. Even though Jodi would always watch they kids for them. Sometimes all eight along with her own four. She is already cashing in on her little money cows you would think that she wouldn't mind throwing some to the family. The money grubbing is even worse. She turned away donations from her church because they clothes were mismatched. She freaks out at Jon form buying something without a coupon even though they just bought a 1.13 million dollar mansion. They are raking in about 2 million a year fromthey show. Then you add royalties and they book deals to all of that.Poor Jon he has to deal with that crazy.Anyone who gives this quote bugs me “Kate Gosselin said she feels society has a responsibility to help with the children, since modern medicine promotes the use of fertility drugs, which can lead to multiple births."

I would like clarify things

I would like to write about my previous post and clarify somethings. I am watching the news and their was a story that so pissed me off and made me to angry. The show Big Love has decide that they will show sacred ordinances of the LDS church. They have been consulted by an Ex-Mormon. They have no respect for anything. We are not a people that flash our religion in the media. Yes there are few that follow in the Osmond way of wanting to be relevant once again but we do have things that are sacred. Its also not fare that we are not allowed to explain ourselves. Thoes that have been through the temple understand that without the proper explination that certain things could be unusual to others and totally taken out of context. Also they are being consulted by someone who was once a member and oviously left. I doubt that they are going to be kind and considerate. They do not care or have any attachment to the things that i hold so dare to my heart. The really infurating thing is that there is nothing thatcan be done but try to appel to the HBO company themselves to not run it. They are not doing anything against the law they are just being very disresepctful. So everyone please write or do something to please let them see how special the ordances are to us and to please not show them.

beat freaks and quest crew holla

I love dance so much so to me these are the sweetest things ever and so awesome to watch. Despite all of the odds and things that are against us the feeling keeps comeing back of having a third baby. A new baby would cost more money and mean more hospital bills. That makes you nervous in this economy. We would need to buy a van. We will own our sonata in a few months so that money will be freed up but still vans are more expensive than cars. How would I handle the stress of having three in four years. That is a lot of stress to have a three year old, two year old, and a new born. That would be wow. We would for sure be done though. Regardless if we had another girl or a boy. The really big thing though is the money. Worrying about having enough. At the same time though its not like I'm octomom just popping the out with no way to care for them.It would just be tight. I just feel it though and I try to make it go away but it always comes back. Three is a good number of kids. I think so anyway and I worry about our last baby being to far from the older two and being lonely. Then there is Jason going back to school this fall and so that is a factor too. On the other hand though I don't want to be one of thoes people that puts off having kids that I want just because I can't buy them designer clothes and have everything be perfect.I don't know it is soething that willjust take time for us to decide ad see how things go.

ok so not fair

Jason and I have our jogging stroller now. Ok, so now before you get to excited about that let me explain. They would replace income taxes with higher sales taxes. You would be taxes depending on how much you spend. Which I don't know how it would affect Jason and I maybe better maybe worse. One thing that was pointed out though was that it would be pretty much impossible to cheat taxes unless you are stealing the stuff. Now I don't know the details about how everything would be. How much things would go up and all of that stuff. One thing that really catches my ear though is the illigal immigrants that are not paying taxes but still reaping the benifits of living here would have to pay taxes too. I'm not going to get all controversal about immigration because I didn't do anything super awesome to be here excpet be born in the right family, but I will take the stance that it is not right to live int this country and reap the benifits and rights of living here and not pay your dues. I have to pay taxes so why shouldn't they. Eating, walking, picking things up.
2. Kyla has become obsessed with her belly and with Ammie's belly also.
3. Ammie enjoys her new special attack. She charges, opens her mouth and places it on your face and then she stays there till you move.
4.Kyla enjoys shutting herself in closets and the pantry. She knocks one the door when she wants out.
5.Kyla enjoys spending the mornings with her sister in her crib. I have moved everything away from the crib so apparently she can climb up the bars.
6. Ammie really enjoys giving her big sister kisses. That is when she smiles the biggest.
7. Yes i will agree that it is not the best thing that she was trying to have seven children when she is single mother and has not finished school but, I am so freaking sick of people clamoring for all of the children to be taken away, give me a break. Like I said I agree that this path was not the most realistic one to follow. She has already said that she was not meaning to have 14 children. Then on top of that she had the option to abort them but she didn't which considering my beliefs I am glad for that. I just think that it is so silly that everyone is proclaiming how horrible of a parent she is when no one has even observed her with her children or even allowed herto have a chance. To me is seems like everyone just wants to jump on the band wagon of telling her how irresponsible she is. Ok well we know that but now what? We can probably count on the facts that huggies won't be giving her any freebies. Lets face it she is not very popular and they can't be associating themselves with that. They are no Jon and Kate. So she has fourteen children 10 of them under two. She will not be getting any help no custom made strollers for her. She has not finished school so at the moment she can not afford them. She is filling an emotional gap from her childhood with well children. So....... we are all going to sit here and pass judgment. Oh good job you are all so productive and oh so smart. I think people should one mind their own business and wait till something happens before they open their mouths. The media just doesn't have anything better to ropert on apparently then that a women has 14 kids. Wow I'm really sure there is nothing going on in the world that is more important than some woman is going to have a really tought time raiseing kids.Like, I don't know how about a war.The 2 million women and children are being traded as sex slaves around the world. How about the problem on reservations of rapist never being reported. The victims know nothing will ever be done because the American Indian goverments and the Federal goverment are unable to communicate properly about what cases are whos jurisdiction. How about the entire African Continent and the worlds well not really giving a crap about the thousands of people being murdered everyday. No no a women had 14 kids stop the presses. Stupid People can't find anything better to be outraged about.

ok I'm a bum

I realize that I have been such a slacker lately no posting or anything. I just have been tired and also feel like not a whole lot has happened lately. I will up date you on the super exciting happenings of late. The first big one is that Ammie is now crawling and getting into everything. Kyla now has a partner in crime. I bought a new thermometer. It is one that reads the temp from your forehead it is awesome and I love it. So much better than sticking a thermometer in the mouth, ear, armpit or....other places. Ammie slept her first night without waking up at all. Not even for a binky . I felt so refreshed that morning having had a uninterupted nights sleep. We are working on replicating that night. Our knives were really dull so instead of buying a new set we are making our walmart set last so we bought an electric sharpener. It to works awesome I can now actually cut through chicken now. Also I found an exercise that i actually enjoy... Yoga. It is calming and I am sore the next day so I know it actually is challenging my body. Now i am going to get myself in shape because as soon as my jogging stroller arrives I will be adding running to my daily work out. Also we just got done watching the super bowl and all I can say is sweet we one. That is really all that has been going one in the past month that I feel like actually sharing at this moment. Maybe I will have a rant later but for now I am good.

CRAP!!!!!

My stroller is gone. I need opinions and any information if the church has an official opinion on the matter. I would like to know about cooking with alcohol. The alcohol burns out once the meat is cooked so no one is going to be getting buzzed from eating a pork roast marinated in sherry but still. Its one of those things that I am curious about. Especially since when I go back to school I will most likely be going to get my degree in culinary arts(again). So if any one has an opinion about it or know if any of our leaders as advised us in this topic I would really like to know.

My favorite website

I have found my favorite website. It makes finding dinner so easy. First it has endless recipes. The way to search for these recipes is even easier you just type in key words and it will bring up everything relevant. It will keep a record of the most recent recipes you have looked at so you do not forget. You can create a recipe box of you favorite recipes. It also has an application for calculating servings. If the recipe is for 6 people but you are cooking for 4 then you change the number and it will do all of the math for you . I love that you can put comments on the recipes. I don't leave any but I love reading what other people thought of the recipe when i am considering a new recipe. It also has categories like holiday cooking and healthy cooking even a gluten free section that has deserts and snacks. I love it because it is easy and the variety of recipes is endless unlike my books where the same recipes are in there and they never change. That really doesn't help me when it comes to not wanting to cook things i have tried already. It makes things so much easier and keeps so I don't cook the same things over and over again.

i'm a slacker

I have been really slacking on the blogging. I have just been really busy over the and really not feeling like blogging. I am feeling kinda sluggish and a little down. On top of that I got a talking to by our marriage counselor because I am such a horrible wife because my husband does dishes.t "I just could not understand why he does your dishes" she says. You don't see her talking about how I make his dinner, lunch and how I do his laundry. She just totally wrote of anything I tried to say to defend myself and prove that don't sit and eat potato chips and watch Gilmore Girls reruns while he slaves away in the kitchen. I tried to tell her that I am there cleaning right next to him doing the rest of the kitchen. She doesn't even acknowledge that I spoke. She also told my husband that it seems to her that he is spending all his time fulfilling my needs for domestic support and ignoring his own needs. Did I mention that my honey gets to do whatever he wants after the girls go to bed which is between eight and seven. I also get told that her mom had nine kids and got a pampered herself up everyday for her husband so I should be able to also. Well that means she had built in babysitters me on the other hand I have a baby that doe not like to be alone and another that like that have pillow fights with her little sister. The really frustrating thing is that my husband has no complaints about any of these things. So she is just sitting there attacking me about things that neither of us in this relationship has a complaint about. He is happy to help my with the cleaning in the evening cause he knows how hard it is to have to babies so close together. We came up with this system together. We sat down together and talked about it. The fact I don't get a lot of time to myself and the cleaning I do is shortly undone but I still do my best. I feel that she is one of those that sees in the proclamation to the family the imaginary line of and it is the wife sole responsibility to clean the house and do everything by herself. Anyway I am still upset at how she treated me and I do not want to do any "sharing" right now so Jason will be going by himself tomorrow. I just really don't feel like going to see someone who is getting paid to listen to me but won't. She just makes judgment me and how wrong our marriage roles are even though we are both happy with them. Whatever.

Costco Kitty

Jason and I would very much like to get a cat someday. Maybe Santa will bring one next year. We were at Costco looking at prices of things just so we could be aware of how much it would cost to keep a cat. Well Kyla loves cats it is the one animal right now that she can remember what it says. She heard us talking about a cat so after that we had a cute little kitty cat in our cart with us. She was not meowing at the top of her lungs but pretty loud. She continued until we were done with our shopping. The title is Love Letters of Joseph and Emma illustrated by Liz Lemon Swindle and Angela Eschler.I think that is such a gross invasion of privacy. These are two people that gave up everything for what they believed in. They gave up so many material things and gave up so many of their family. So many of their babies were buried in the ground and left behind. The hardest thing any parents would have to do. Joseph gave his life and in the end Emma was alone. Their love for each other was something so precious and something so personal. It is between any husband and wife and here are some people parading it around for everyone to see all so they can make a few dollars out of it. In the end Emma did not have the heart to go to Utah. I highly doubt that she would be all to appreciative about some one trying to make money off of her personal love correspondence to Joseph. Shame on them for putting money above respect of the prophet who restored the true church and for his wife who sacrificed so much.

My sister

Following the request of my sister even if it was a long time ago. If you don't know what I am talking about it would be the court ruling of barbie vs. Bratz. The case was that the design for Bratz was created by a person that still worked for Mattel. They then took the design to the competing company while still under Mattel employment. Now Bratz must stop making the doll and turn over any existing inventory over to Mattel. There is the possibility the Mattel will continue make and distribute the dolls. I'm hoping they burn them. I'm hoping that Mattel realizes how hated they are among parents and will not continue to sell them. Even if they do I will never buy one or let one in my house. It is a horrible toy that teaches young girls that they need to be sexy and waer really bad make-up. They even have matching bras and underwear for seven year olds. If any one is saying it a training bra give me a break.I personally with help my daughter vaule herself for thing that are important like her personality and her grades. Not how 'hot ' she is and what clothes she is in. that is a well paved road to a lot of problems depression, anxiety, and low self esteem. My favorite quote from the the article "Fast Times" by Deborah Swaney she is talking about how instead of buying a bra foe her seven year old she signed her up for soccer and was out cheering for her when she made her first goal"that , not a bra, is the kind of support young girls really need". i love it

biggest daddys girl

Kyla is such a daddy's girl. It is now routine for me to tell Kyla that daddy is home when I see Jason pull up to our house. She will run to the window and look out and when she sees him get out of the car she will start yelling daddly( not a typo she says daddly). Then, when he gets close enought she will run to the door and give him huggs and kisses .The first time I did this it was so funny because she didn't realize it was jason in the car. She never rides in the Accent so she doesn't recognize it as our car. When she realize it was Jason she started screaming" dada". She was so torn between looking at him through the window and running around the couch to the door that she kept just turning around in a circle. Then it turned into taking a step from the window and then running back. Finally when Jason came through the door the decision was easy to leave to window and she ran and gave him a big hug and snuggled with him. Then this past Wednesday Jason and I went out to see Madagascar 2 at the good old Spanish 8. It is cheap and close to my in-laws house. We dropped the girls off and we made small talk with my mother in law. Then we needed to leave because we were going to be late. We opened the door and Kyla comes over to see use off. I waved to her and said "bye bye". She waved back and says "bye bye bye bye" and keeps going until Jason says bye and waves. Then she realizes that he is coming with me and she starts saying "No no NO NO No no no no". She comes over to Jason and grabs his hand and tries to pull him back into the house. We finally had to just leave and she cried. Honestly though I love it when she does things like that. Not only is it something to blog about but its really cute and it makes me gratefully to know that I am so lucky to have a husband like Jason that is so adored by our babies.

million dollar baby

I was talking with my favorite cousin about being able to have a million dollars and what we would do with it or any large sum of money that happened to find its way into our bank accounts. She would put put her hubby through school pay bills and things of that sort. Jason and I would pay off our mortgage. If it was really big like millions the we would put in some kind of savings account and use the extra money from the interest to pay extra towards our house. Then we would but my parents a house up here and pay off jasons parents mortgage(which i think they own their house already though) Jason and I were then talking about it and how cool it would be to own our home and everything but in reality if you were suddenly to come into a lot of money how stressfull it would be. Suddenly you would have people calling you up to say congradulations and they would just happen to mention all of there financal woes. Then if you gave them money more people would call to get what they could get from you.All of the sudden you would have family and friends that you haven't talked to in forever calling just to say hiand maybe ask for a loan that they promise they will pay back. Just as soon as they get the money. You would want to help thoes that really deserved it.There would no doubtly be thoes that dug there own wholeand as soon as you filled it up they would get digging again. Money worries would go way down but then you waould have a new set of people problems. Also the fact that when you die would your family start their own WW3 over it. So many things. I say if you every come into money keep it a secret from every one.

Twilight is coming

Ok, so now the twilight hype has made me super curious about these books. The first I ever heard about the Twilight series was when I began work at Deseret Book last year. I was getting the overview of what goes where and where everything is from a coworker. She told me about how these books shouldn't be in the young adult section because it is to graphic about "how you feel when you are in love". Not really understanding what she ment because I define love and lust as two different things. They go together but different feelings. Kinda left me wondering wether Derert Book had a naughty romance novel in thier midst. I doubted it because one its a church books store and two this woman was very self righteous. She would take any chance she got mentions that she is on the Tabernacle Choir, or talk about how Micheal Buble shouldn't be in the store cause he swears at his concerts and things of that sort.Anyway I never really thought about them again till now almost a year later. All this hype and attention has made me curious. I don't trust the review I was previously given. My cousin( I love you cannie) says I would enjoy the books it but i'm not sure I have the time to devote to reading it and on that note i'm not sure I want to spend money on it considering i don't know if i will get around to reading it.My question to everyone out there is should I devote the time and money to read it? Is it worth it?

the second homecoming

Last week Jason and I taught a lesson on preparing for the second coming. Soooo funny. Its a dad at a party he goes into the other room to change his sons diaper . When he pulls the diaper back the baby pees everywhere so he quick covers it up with the diaper. Everything is ok huggies saved the day. They also make the stream like it was coming from a pressure hose. Then he pulls the diaper back to try one more time it and again sprays every where the walls and ceiling. The dad covers the baby again and just is like what the heck.It is one of thoes comercials where the first time you are like what the....... Then the second time you just laugh. Probably so funny to me cause I do not have any boys so i have never experienced that kind of suprise while you change the diaper.

SOOOOOOO Cute

I love this picture it is so cute. I have already spent hours looking for one that I think Kyla will like. I don"t want the cheapest one out there but, I will never spend 80 or even 50 dollars on a doll for a 18 month old. I am one step to giving in and just buying a set at Costco and hide the stroller and accessories since she is not two yet and that is the age recommendation. Also Jason and I have a suspicion that she would try to climb in herself.

Candy Nails

It is pretty rare that I paint my nails these days. Its not hard finding the time to do it but it is hard to find the time to let them dry. I'm usually picking up babies, cleaning or making food. I"m not about to let one of my kids cry because i need to let my nails finish drying. By the time Jason is home and we have the girls in bed I have forgotten that I wanted to ever do my nails in the first place. You really know it has been a long time though when you finally paint them and your 18 month old thinks they are candy. I painted my nails a cute watermelon pink. The next morning when Kyla saw them she kept trying to pick them up and eat them. She would also lick them periodically. It didn't take her very long to realize I wasn't going to let her bit my nails.

Yay Cookies

On Tuesday I decided to make chocolate chip cookies for Jason because they are his favorite (and not to mention the only cookie he likes). I decided to have Kyla help make them. She helped me stir them with the wooden spoon along with a teaspoon in her left hand. When we were done mixing she turned her attention to her teaspoon while I measured the chocolate chips out of our Costco chocolate chip bag. When I poured the chocolate chips into the bowl Kyla let loose a little gasp of amazement, that chocolate was falling from the sky. It started on Monday as aches and pains. I took a warm bath and felt better. Tuesday it just got worse and having a five month old that was obviously not feeling well and a 18 month old that just likes getting into things made the day that much worse. Tuesday ended in me calling Jason freaking out and crying because he was 15 min later than usual. I did mention that Ammie had be screaming all day and I could barely move. Ammie was relentless finally on Wednesday morning (barely) about 1:00 in the morning Jason took her to the hospital. She had a 101 fever and we could not get her to calm down. she was fine and we were advised to keep giving her Tylenol to bring her fever down. Still, she was very miserable and would let us know.Which as any parent knows its frustrating when your babies cries nonstop and even more so when you know something is wrong but you can't do anything about it. Jason stayed home with me on Wednesday which was such a good thing because by then my head hurt so bad it hurt to move my eyes and my stomach was reminded me of why I hate being pregnant. Thursday comes and Jason stays home again and Ammie and I start getting red spots on our bellies. We both still feel like poo still . Friday my mother in law Carole came over to help me with the girls cause Jason's work needed him to come in that day. Friday ended with another emergency room visit though because once again Ammie was worrying us. She had the spots covering her body and we were worried about it being something serious for a five month old. Thank goodness the basic diagnosis was that it was viral reaction to the viral infection. In other words we are allergic the the virus. OK good to know. On our way home we stopped by Walmart got some allergy medicine and gave Ammie the dose the doctor recommended. During the night she woke up only twice to eat and went back to bed and only twice for the bink. Wow. What a difference. Thank you doctors. oh i also woke up on Saturday morning with everything feeling much better no aches and i felt like eating. yay i love food.

44th president of the United States

Congratulations to Obama for becoming the 44th president of the United States. It was really stressful considering both my girls were really tired, so they were not on their best behavior. I finished what I needed to, and then I was going to continue working at my house. Jason came and picked up the girls to take them off my hands . I needed to make a trip to the store to buy some supplies and then I came home. Jason and I spent the evening watching Heroes then we started getting ready for bed . I was in the bathroom when Jason quick jumps out of bed and comes into the bathroom and says "Happy Anniversary, hun!" We had both forgotten that it was our Anniversary until out friend Shawn texted Jason a happy Anniversary message. We had just gotten so busy that we both didn't realize that it was the 27th already. Hayden Panettiere has a mock endorsement for John McCain where she truly shows of her immaturity, lack of respect, and the lack of an ability to be funny. Her overconfidence shows through with the opening line being "I know I'm hot enough to hold your attention for at least thirty seconds". Does she realize as soon as she leaves heroes it will be "Hayden who"? Well , I guess she doesn't. She couples voting for McCain with smoking and not wearing a seat belt and just to prove how mature she is, she drops the F-bomb about three times. Wow, Hayden! You are one classy girl! I have also decided to keep up my progress on my blog cause I think it will help me stick to it, knowing that someone will be reading and knowing if I'm slacking or quit. My pre-baby weight was about 156. I lost 10 pounds during the beginning of being pregnant cause I was not able to keep any food down. I more than recovered after the morning sickness stage by gaining 60 ( ya that's right) pounds up until Kyla was born so that put me at about 226. In the following three months before we got pregnant again, I went down to 185. This time around, I lost about 15 pounds (I think) in the beginning months. The day I delivered I was 206 which was better than the last time. Then, I got down to about 192, and I was fine with that for the time being since I am nursing and I can't cut calories. But, I noticed this morning that my jeans fit a bit snug. It bothered me all morning. So, after dinner I went to the bathroom and hopped on the scale. Yup, I gained weight. 8 pounds to be exact. So that puts me at 200. After the weight roller coaster of being pregnant for 20 months (almost continuously) I'm ready to have some stability. Now my resolve is to get back down to 150.
I'll start with exercise and being more conscious of what I eat, but until i put Amourae totally on formula, I will not be able to cut calories. Right now I have a DVD that has exercises for women who have had children. I am going to do that and get up at 6:30 so that I can hopefully finish before the girls wake up. I'm thinking I will do posts of my actual weight so I can be accountable and also if I run into slumps I can get advice and encouragement on how I can do better. I might even post "before and after" pictures so I can see the difference. I don't know. Let me know what you think about that one. I'm hoping that I will have everyones support to help keep me motivated. I'm not sure if I should do a weigh in every two weeks or once a month. The purpose of doing it as soon as every two weeks would be to assist in keeping me vigilant. For now, I think that is what I will do unless any one has any other ideas.
OK. Starting weight 200 lbs. Wish me luck!

P.S. If any one has any advice, tips, or encouragement, speak up!

Little Miss Independent

Along with our new calling, Kyla gets to go to nursery two months earlier than normal. After Sacrament Meeting, we went on our quest to find which nursery she would be in (there are 4 of them in our Ward), and each time we went into a class and found out it wasn't the one we were supposed to be in, Kyla got very upset because she would see the toys and want to play with them. At this point, she had been deprived all during sacrament cause we don't let her run around. We require her to sit on our lap or the bench with us and play quietly. So, by now she was very upset cause she thought she was not being allowed to run around and play still and she had had enough. Finally, we found the right nursery. She didn't even care we had left because she was so delighted with the toys - which doesn't surprise me at all. She is very independent and confident. That is how we raised her to be, and we take pride in that fact. But, part of you wants her to be sad when you are gone. Jason went to check on her and her reaction was kind of a "Hey dad! You're here. Cool, you're leaving. OK, see ya later!" When it comes down to it, though, I'm glad that she functions well without me cause that is the purpose; for them to some day not need you to function. We just got a jump start on things.

Our New Callings

Our new ward is awesome to say the least. More people spoke to us in our first week of being there than in the entire year we were at our previous ward. When we had our meeting with our new bishop, he had told us there were three calling we had been requested for already but he had not yet decided which one we would be called to yet. We went home wondering what the callings were and which one would be ours. Thoughts of nursery were brought to my mind and not only having to take care of my own 16 month old and 4 month old but 6 extras. Luckily, this morning we are meeting with our bishop, so I only had to worry for about two weeks. We got the news that we will be the CTR 7 B teachers. Thank goodness no nursery! We hopped right into our calling and met our kids this morning and started practicing for the primary program next week. I believe that Jason and I will enjoy this calling. They are really nice kids, and right now there are only four of them .

Little Moments

Yesterday, Jason and I were driving home from IKEA (the happiest place on earth). I had one of those moments were you stop and look at your life from the outside, and I realized how awesome my life is. I'm listening to Jason talk about our shelves that we are putting in our bathroom and I'm just watching him and I can't help but smile. His hair is sticking up a bit in the back and he is smiling and excited about the shelves. I can't help but realize how lucky I am that he chose me to be his forever friend. Out of all the girls he dated, he picked me. Its a humble feeling that makes my eyes water whenever I think about it. I teared up just writing that sentence. I have a husband that is so wonderful and supportive and loves me for being me. How simple a thing yet the most precious. How lucky am I! A loving husband, two adorable daughters, our first home, and so many other things that I will never be able to list them all. Anyway, I just needed to announce to the world how I feel cause I don't ever want to take for granted all the things I have.

Better Late than Never!

So, I kinda skipped my introduction of my blog for my first post, but better late than never I guess. Well, I'm here following my family's lead of having a blog . The convenience of being able to let everyone know what is going on without out having to call every last person in my phone book . I see how nice it is that I get to be connected with my family even though some of them are hundreds of miles away and I really do appreciate it. Hearing all of the funny stories and seeing the personalities of my nephews and nieces develop . So, I decided to do the same and allow everyone to get to know my family just a little bit better and see the chaos that comes with having two babies that are a year apart, a hilarious husband, and two friends that are renting part of our house. Yup, we have a full house and I'm sure things are about to get interesting. So keep checking in and we will see how things go.

Oh, and if you were curious - the picture is of me in the hospital before we had Amourae.
